Pelvic pain refers to the pain felt by women in the pelvic area. It may be stabbing, burning, pressure or just discomfort at rest or during activity. There may be a variety of reasons for the pain including problems with reproductive organs in the pelvic area such as the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, or vagina
Symptoms include:
- Severe menstrual cramps and pain
- Vaginal bleeding, spotting or discharge
- Painful or difficult urination including urgency and frequency
- Bowel dysfunction including Constipation ,diarrhea, bloating, gas,Bloody stools
- Painful intercourse
- Pain in the hip area , groin area, back, coccyx

- Education on the causes of prostatitis including anatomy and the physiology of pain whether chronic or acute
- A multipronged approach including soft tissue mobilization, Trigger point therapy rectally. vaginally and externally, acupressure and trigger points therapy to release abdominal ,lumbar and hip muscle spasms , electrical stimulation, Biofeedback, Nutritional guidelines, Down training and other pelvic floor exercises to relax the PFM, Behavioral strategies , mindfulness and relaxation exercises to control pain
